It’s been a while that I have written on here. Lots happen since then, if you follow me on instagram you already know we are expecting a little bundle of joy this December.

I’m going to be completely honest and say that Im still in shock when I first heard the word “GIRL” from the doctor. Not because I didn’t want a girl, I just always had in my mind that I was going to be a mama of boys. I have always wanted a little mini girlfriend (mini me). So many feeling came to be when I was told the news that I started crying some happy tears. Then I sat back and started thinking on how will i be able to raise a girl, Im all use to boys, their fashion, being messy, always getting dirty, and the fact that i would be mama’s boy! Yes, if you know me I’m a very super GIRLY girl; I truly can’t wait to dress this little girl up. She for sure will hate how many pictures ill be taking of her. Her older brother will teach her just go with it and it will end faster than you know it. haha

I’m excited for this new ride. When I hear all the mama’s with their beautiful stories about how girls love their mama, but love their daddy more in a special way. I cant wait to see that bond between them. I’m so lucky I’m to get the best of both worlds! I’ll have my mini me to go shopping with & get mani and pedi dates. This little girl has already stolen my heart. Im counting down the weeks to finally meet her. She is going to be loved by her older brother, daddy, and myself!

We are over the moon excited and can’t wait to meet out little precious baby girl!

Stay-at-home mom

Hey Everyone! Happy Friday!

I’m finally brining this up, yes I’m a stay at home mom. This is a subject that comes up all the time; parties, food shopping, with family, and I can go on. When some hear the phrase ” Stay at Home Mom” they immediately think that  the mom does absolutely nothing all day.

Few questions Scott or I get..

How ’bout your wife? Is she back at work yet?”

“So is your wife staying at home permanently?”

“You can be home all day?”

“What do you do with yourself all day “

“Must be nice to have breaks all day long “

It’s true — being a mom isn’t a “job.” A job is something you do for part of the day and then stop doing. You get a paycheck. You have unions, benefits and break rooms. haha mom’s don’t have break rooms, we either need to wait till they are napping or have them in with us in the bathroom. Having a job is necessary for some — it is for me — but I’m truly blessed that I can  stay home and watch my son grow, and see all his milestones. Whatever your job is — you are expendable. You are a number. You are a calculation. You can be replaced. A mother can NEVER  be replaced. The love & the nurture can and will never be replaced by what a mother and their child have.

Imagine that all the moms out their quit their  role as mother, entire lives would be turned upside down; society would suffer greatly. The ripples of that tragedy would be felt for generations. If they all  quit their (stay at home mom)  who would teach the morals of life, or which roads you should try to lead your child too.

Yes, I’m a mom, and before being a mom I never knew what this love ways. My son has open my eyes so much! I because of him have moved on in my life. I have  accomplished  so many things in a year that were just sitting in my head and never moving forward with. Yes! I’m learning to be a mom everyday, never do books help out. You learn from your own mistakes, and just get better at them.

Did I ever think I was going to stay home, NO! I never had in my mind that I wold be a stay at home mom. I’m very active person and I like my schedule set for the day. When Scottie was born and whole new world opened up. I loved my job, but what I loved most was my son. Scott and I didn’t want to put him up in daycare so little, and I was truly blessed that Scott and I decided for me to stay home with him. This past year I have seen so much growth, milestones, and love that Scottie has built and shown me. Im so glad I can teach my son  how to be  a little human , and, as he grows, I will JUST teach him all things, from morals, to manners, to the ABC’s, to hygiene, and to loving one another.

Woman in general, not only moms need to help and support women more. Everyone loves to just talk their mouths out but not help each other out. Being a mom is hard in any way. Either if your working or not working. The job of mom is hard and stressful. Not only do women have to be a mom; they have to be a wife, a cook, a cleaner, and resting arm, a friend, a teacher, and the list can go on.. Ladies we are all the same in so many ways! We are truly superwoman, we can accomplish so much in a day, and nothing stops or gets in our way!

Thank you for all the support! My next blog I will have up will be daily schedule, what I do with my son through out the day… If you have any questions please list them below.

Good morning guys!

I hope you all are having an AWESOME week.

Today, I wanted to talk a little bit about my workout routine and hopefully answer some questions that I have been receiving. So, one of my biggest points of emphasis with my workout routine is to make sure that I am not doing the same exercises and same things each day. What I mean is that I do not do a “full-body” day everyday. I like to mix up the muscles that I workout and focus on each day. One day will be a focus on legs and butt, the next will be triceps, biceps, and chest, and the next back and shoulders.(yes it can all be done at home if the gym in not your thing). I try to mix up the exercises I do and try new things. Don’t get me wrong there are certainly exercises that I repeat, but I am always on the hunt for new exercises and new ways to push my body outside of it’s comfort zone. I have also received a bunch of questions regarding how often I workout? I workout 4 days a week for around an hour. I usually workout first thing in the morning, but sometimes thats not easy at all. The key for me is being consistent each week and doing my best to be there each day! Eating healthy and keeping a well stable diet is what your body needs as well. I can’t say it clearly on how much water you should drink daily. It’s so important on a daily basis. I have listed in before that I drink around 80-100 ozes of water daily. I use my Hydro Flask  everyday and I jsut fill it up. Heres a little picture on what to go by if you want to know how much water you should intake daily.

I hope all this helps, I will continue to share more details regarding my workouts and workout routine. To me, working out is all about being as healthy as you can and building CONFIDIENCE. I know I feel better when I exercise and making it a part of my daily life has helped me so much with the energy I have each day. Thank you all for following and for your love and support! If you have any questions leave me a message.

Hey! How is everyone loving this Fall like weather?? I am, Loving it!

This weekend one of my good friends since infancy got married. She got married in a beautiful Victorian Mansion upstate New York. Breathtaking was the place!

The dress that I wore to what I call the Enchanted Mansion was perfect for the place. It was ideal to the whole set up of occasion. I purchased this dress when Carli Bybel launched her new set of clothing with Missguided. It was an exclusive and sold out super fast. Missguided has others that are some what the same style! If you HURRY you can still catch some of Carli Bybel collection. I’ll list all the details on the outfit on the bottom!

Motivate Yourself

Morning guys!

Hope you all enjoyed your long weekend! Last week I didn’t have much time to workout, so today I’m back at it again.. Wanted to talk a bit about my workout routine, and hopefully answer some questions I have been receiving. So the most important thing with my workout routine is making sure im consistent, but at the same time make sure im not doing the same exercise and same thing everyday. The meaning of that is I don’t work out my whole body in a day, that would mean working out for a few hours.. haha

I start the week on a specific group of muscles, and each day I try to mix it up. Yes, I can admit I do certain exercise everyday; (abs) is done daily! Like to have those bad boys toned. (my goal one day to have that awesome 6 pack). I’m always on the hunt to try to exercise and new ways to push my body outside my comfort zone. How many days a week do I  work out people ask, I always say 4-5 times a week for an hour each day. I try to give myself the weekend off ; which are my resting days.  I usually workout first thing in the morning, ( when Scottie still asleep) or afternoon/evening.

The most important thing for me is being consistent and doing the best I can! Working out to me is about eating healthy and keeping your body healthy, and it builds lots of confidence! I know I feel 10 times better when I exercise and make it part of my daily life, it has helped me boost up my energy.

Thank you all for following, hope you all have an awesome day! If you want in-depth routine of my workout let me know, comment below!

10 Skills I mastered the First Year of Motherhood!

My son’s birthday is approaching and I still can’t believe that my little man will be 1…

As I’m getting it all ready; invites are heading out, DIY decor, games, and finalizing food + drinks. The past few days have been bittersweet just knowing that my son is getting so big. I’m super happy I’m able to see all his new milestones, and the craziness he is up to. My husband and I are throwing him his 1st birthday party with all of our friends and family to celebrate the awesome year he has had!

I can say I survived the FIRST year of motherhood! Nope, there isn’t a book to tell you what, how, when, or where to do it. It’s just like BAM here is your newborn now learn how to take care of him/her… haha

YES! I did love it, learned something new everyday! Best thing is I’m still learning everyday, cause now he is stepping into toddler-hood and its a completely  different experience.

Over the course of this year I have acquire some new amazing skills.

  1.  Multitasking: Yes, everyone does this without having kids. With a kid just gets bit more intense. Like trying to brush your teeth, your kid on one side of your hip and at the same time with one hand your trying to brush those teeth. Did I mention the pulling of the hair while brushing my teeth. haha… yes some will say why don’t you put him down. He is now a super fast crawler and will take off!  Next one, LAUNDRY! while you are trying to fold the clothes and play with your son at the same time. Best one of all is for me taking pictures. I have been taking pictures of my son since birth, now to do it is like becoming a spy agent/clown/ and racer! I have to make sure he stays in the spot, laughs or looks at the camera, props are in the right place, and the list goes on!

2.     How to avoid getting peed or pooped on: I can sit here and laugh all day on this one. As a  newborn you have to watch when in the middle of the night you take his diaper off and pee hits you right in the face! YES it woke you up really fast. ha-ha.. Now diaper changes are a mission on its own. It’s like a wrestling match with a little hulk that doesn’t want to lay down to change it’s diaper. Or best is when your trying to take off a poop diaper and he got away and poop all over! hahaha.. You learn how to cope with it, and be fast on changing diapers. Just remember that it all just comes off with water and soap!

3. Workout time with the baby: At the beginning during the first few months I would wait around for nap time. I would take advantage and work out while he slept. Well that totally changed on me! He has so much energy that nap in the morning doesn’t happen and if it does only for 15-20 minutes! Now a days I work out with him; super fun and many laughs. We do our morning jogs/ walks. I use him as my weights now while I do my sit-ups & squats. When I do my push ups/planks he likes to go under me like I’m a tunnel. My son finds it funny when I’m doing all this. I’m waiting for the day he starts to copy me!

4. Making the best ice-coffee: Big time Dunkin girl I always was! I have no time for that, maybe when I’m out the door and go to the drive-thru. Now I make my own at home. I just put my cup under my keurig machine, and while I’m getting breakfast ready for my son it gets COLD! haha I then add some milk and ice. I repeat this multiple times a day!

5. How to make mom friends: I have awesome mom friends that were my friends before I had my son! All gave me awesome advice through the year. But I also made new  mom friends with a kids around my age. How did I do this? I joined some mom clubs and during library time met some too.

6. How to dress appropriately for post-baby body: Yes, it’s so true NOTHING FITS! Best thing is you shouldn’t worry about it. You are trying to take care and learning your baby out. So what if you live in those super comfy yoga pants for a few months. Don’t worry you will have time to rock your clothes later on in the passing months!

7. How to shop for clothes: Body is different and it gets super frustrating trying to get clothes that fits your body right during those first few months. Go to your favorite store and by things that are on sale, take it home and try it on (mini fashion-show). You probably realize that you are smaller than what you think and everything you got is just big on you. Repeat it all and go shopping again, make sure you have fun doing it! Best of all get things that you feel pretty in.

8. How to politely tell people you don’t want or need advice: The first thing everyone comes to you with advice on how to take care of a your child. Yes, its great; everyone has their own techniques and ways. Why make anyone feel bad ; just listen to their advice. If you don’t agree with it then dont use it! Nobody is telling you to. But for experience most of the mommies that have had kids longer than me give AWESOME advice and they are just being super helpful!

9. How to still make time for your husband: No lie you tend to forget about your husband when baby comes into  the picture. Wrong thing to do, that is true. Going out on dates becomes hard, but you can do that at home. When the baby is sleeping; grab wine, make dinner, and rent a movie. That time is still available and its great to make it happen. Not only does you husband need it, so do you! Especially that nice cold glass of wine…

10. How to just have fun and enjoy the time: The year goes by so fast, and its a waste to get angry cause the laundry it not done, you didn’t sleep, or didn’t have time to shower. Enjoy every second, as everyone says it goes by super fast! Capture all the beautiful milestones, and know that life is precious.

Mommies out there let me know some of the skills you have mastered during the first year or motherhood! I would love to hear them… Have an awesome day!

Boohoo style love

Happy Monday everyone!!!! Hope you all had a great weekend, and enjoyed the heat. Lets appreciate it because winter is coming soon… haha!

Sorry I have been so MIA, I was away for a week in Dominican Republic. Was able to experience a wedding in Dominican Republic. Will post a picture at the bottom of the happy married couple!

Beautiful Bavaro Beach

Kimono c/0 Boohoo

Today, I wanted to share my favorite online website Boohoo . I’m overly obsessed with the clothing, accesorries, and shoes they have! It’s super chick and super affordable! In Dominican Republic most of my outfits were from boohoo. My number one favorite was the dress that I wore for the wedding. The color was everything and the quality was amazing, and best of all only $30! Can you believe that!

They key to finding a dress to wear to Dominican Republic or Jersey (humidity) is to be comfortable and not a sweaty mess… haha! The material of the dress is super smooth and great for an outdoor wedding. Best thing was the choker that came attach to the dress, No need for accessories with it! Just added a nice pair of earings and BAM!!

As you see in the picture above the kimono is as well from Boohoo. It was a cheap and classy way to cover up while walking on the beach! Super light and airy, and best of all you can rock it with your bathing suit or with a daily outfit!

All the outfits that I wore when I was away had either top or bottom from Boohoo! Love their very affordable and so chick clothing they have!!! As you see I did mention affordable many times… haha
